Harassment is any behaviour that is unwelcome or offensive to the individual receiving it. It could includes things like:
- Unwanted physical contact
- Offensive or discriminatory comments or assumptions
- Aggressive behaviour, including swearing or verbal abuse, personal comments or insults, racist, homophobic, biphobic, transphobic, xenophobic or sexist remarks or behaviour and bullying or intimidation
- Comments, assumptions or behaviour which make people feel less valued based on their race, ethnicity or religion or perceptions of what these may be.
- Misgendering or outing someone without their consent
- Unwelcome sexual attention
- Persistent unwanted communication—whether in person, by email, or through social media
- Intimidation, stalking or threats, including digital harassment
If you experience or witness any form of harassment or discrimination—whether onsite or online—please report it to the Duty Manager or your Line Manager. We have a process to ensure that every concern is taken seriously, and that support is available. Anyone exhibiting the above behaviours will be asked to stop or leave the premises and the police will be contacted where further action is required.
