Meet the Trustees

Kerry Howarth

Kerry Howarth is an experienced primary school teacher and an Art and Design subject specialist based in Kendal. Alongside teaching, Kerry has also held many freelance Art Education roles working for organisations such as Creative Partnerships, The National Trust, The Wordsworth Trust and University of Cumbria. In 2018, Kerry established Primary Art Skills and works with teachers and schools across the country planning and delivering CPD and school-based training.

Kerry studied Graphic Design (Printmaking) at Leeds Met and later MA Art Education at Birmingham UCE, a special interest of which was Landscape Painting in the Lake District 1850-1910.  Kerry is fellow of the Royal Academy of Arts and an active member of both InSea and NSEAD.

Kerry was born in Kendal and is passionate about the cultural heritage and local community. She lives in Kendal with her 2 boys and partner and thoroughly enjoys the local landscape.
