Meet the Maker: Frances Priest

We’re delighted to invite you to a special Meet the Maker event with artist Frances Priest, offering a rare opportunity to experience her creative process up close at Blackwell – the Arts & Crafts house.

The event will include the artists own explanation of her White Drawing Room Collection in the White Drawing Room, an open studio-style demonstration in the Guild room, and opportunity to chat with Frances Priest.

Throughout the session, Priest will be working on a clay form, painting and engraving live as she shares insight into her practice. Visitors are welcome to drop in, observe the making process, ask questions, and enjoy informal conversations with the artist in a relaxed setting.

10:15am to 10:30am: Frances Priest will give an explanation of her White Drawing Room Collection in the White Drawing Room

10:30am to 12:30pm: Frances Priest will be set up in the Guild Room adding detail to a pre-built base, available to answer questions and demonstrate her process

No booking required. Simply drop in on the day and purchase and admission ticket. Visitors can get free entry on this day when they show a lottery ticket or scratchcard in celebration of National Lottery Open Week!

Included with house admission. Lakeland Arts Members and Annual Pass holders go free.
