Ever wondered what it’s like to patrol England’s largest lake?

Matt Nield, a Windermere Lake Warden, will be doing a family-friendly talk about life out on Windermere, from helping people stay safe on the water to responding to unexpected call-outs and unusual incidents across the lake.

Matt will share stories from the job, explain what the Lake Wardens do day to day, and offer a glimpse into the important work that happens behind the scenes to help keep Windermere safe and cared for.

Visitors will also be able to see the Wardens’ RIB on site, which will be joining the Festival of the Lake Boat Parade.

Please note, this talk is subject to operational availability, as the Lake Warden may be called out if needed.
