Tarn Saunas will be bringing their beautifully crafted wood-fired sauna to Festival of the Lake, offering festivalgoers the chance to slow down, reconnect with nature and experience the lake from a completely different perspective.
Founded in Cumbria, Tarn Saunas was created from a passion for craftsmanship, wellbeing and making restorative practices more accessible. Inspired by the stillness and restorative qualities of the Lake District’s mountain tarns, this experience combines traditional Scandinavian sauna culture with Windermere’s tranquil natural landscapes.
During the festival, visitors will be able to enjoy pre-bookable one-hour public or private sauna sessions beside England’s largest lake. Guests can relax in the warmth of the wood-fired sauna while taking in spectacular lakeside views through the sauna’s large feature window, before cooling off outdoors or under the outdoor shower.
Whether you’re looking for a peaceful moment during the festival, curious to try a sauna for the first time or simply wanting to experience Windermere in a new way, Tarn Saunas offers a welcoming and memorable addition to this year’s celebrations.
Alongside the calming atmosphere, regular sauna use has been associated with a range of wellbeing benefits including stress relief, improved sleep quality, enhanced mood and muscle recovery.
Sessions will be available throughout the day on a pre-bookable basis through the Tarn Saunas website, with limited drop-in availability subject to space on the day.
