The Master Arts & Crafts Bedroom has been reimagined in Blackwell’s original master bedroom by contemporary designers inspired by architect Baillie Scott’s designs.

Working closely with a textile historian and Arts & Crafts specialists, the Master Bedroom retains original features including: a fireplace inglenook with tiles by William De Morgan, wooden panelling, wooden window seat, oak floor and a carved ceiling.

The room’s central feature is an oak bed, commissioned from Baillie Scott’s actual design (Pyghtle Works, 1901). On display is a copy of this important record of the furniture designed by Baillie Scott and made by JP White at the Pyghtle Works.
