Windermere Jetty Museum will feature in Michael Portillo’s Great Coastal Railway Journeys on BBC 2. The episode airs on Thursday 25 May at 6.30pm and explores Cumbria on one of the most beautiful railway journeys in Britain.
In the episode Michael goes out on Windermere Lake aboard Swallow. The boat features in Windermere Jetty Museum’s collection alongside it’s counterpart Amazon and can be viewed in our on-site wet dock. During the episode Michael sets sail on a very special journey with a lifelong devotee of Arthur Ransome’s famous novel as they soak up the views.
